Solutions Logistics (SLI) is a privately owned 3rd Party Logistics company headquartered in Irmo, South Carolina. Incorporated in March 2003, SLI is a nationwide freight broker of Truckload, Intermodal, and LTL transportation services. The principal share-holders are Brian McDermott and Eric Smith. Collectively they offer over 20 years of transportation experience drawing from both asset and non-asset based backgrounds.
Brian McDermott, President & Owner
A 1995 graduate of Lander University, Brian began his transportation career working for a large 3rd Party Logistics Company in Greenville, South Carolina. Over the next decade, Brian worked for both asset and non-asset based companies, including a well known LTL carrier. He credits his most valuable experience from his years as Director of Operations for a large flatbed company in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Brian founded SLI in March 2003 with a former business partner.
Eric Smith, Vice President & Owner
A 1996 graduate of Lander University, Eric began his transportation career in Tampa, Florida with the same 3rd Party Logistics Company. Over the next nine years he worked his way from dispatcher to Transportation Manager. As the T.M., Eric was directly responsible for the day to day execution of thousands of shipments annually for a large multi-million dollar branch. Eric joined Solutions Logistics in March of 2006 as Vice President and Co-Owner.
